Support Group Leaders’ Conference
“Helping Homeschoolers Persevere”
An Historical Perspective on Leadership & Perseverance:
Consider this congratulatory message from First & Second Virginia Regiments on day Patrick Henry took oath as first governor of Virginia:
- … you have uniformly pursued the general good of your country; and have taught the world that an ingenuous love of mankind, an inflexible resolution, and a steady perseverance in the practice of every private and publick virtue lead directly to preferment, and give the best title to the honours of an uncorrupted and vigorous state. ~ David J. Vaughan, Give Me Liberty: The Uncompromising Statesmanship of Patrick Henry, p. 106
